I called Holly, she was the 5th bridal/alteration shop I called that would alter my dress without me buying it there.
I took it for my first fitting, she was so very nnice and helpful. The second fitting she was kind of forgetful with what we talked about and I asked her to order another party dress for me. I noticed alot of fuzzy's on my dress and it was extremely wrinkly. A went in for my final fitting a week later. I tried it on and as I was walking out of the changing area my mother in law noticed a stain on my train. She picked it up and it was poop. Holly seemed really surprised and said she didn't have a dog. She got the stain out but about 2 minutes later she mentioned that as she was sewing it her new kitten jumped up on her sewing table and was on my dress and she sprayed it with water.
After trying the dress on and wanting more things tacted, she took the dress upstairs and came down again. There were so many clumps of cat hair on my tulle under the dress, on the train and on the bodice of the dress.
I told her on my second fitting I wanted it steamed. I'm so glad she forgot b/c had she steamed it, she would have steamed the cat poop and cat hair to the dress.
She said I'm sorry a few times but didn't once offer to take off some of my total bill for having to have me clean the dress, which I stated I would now need to have done.
Holly is vrey nice, however she sewed and alters the clothes in the same area where she allows her cats.
Her shop is in the basement and I don't think it's been vacuumed and cleaned since she opened her shop. The floor is so dirty my feet were black from walking with no shoes on. There was cat hair and dead and alive bugs on the floor.
I would not recommond her to alter her clothes unless you don't care about having animal poop and hair all over your clothes.
