    • POOR QUALITY WORKMANSHIP

    • POOR QUALITY WORKMANSHIP. First of all, I bought a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant from Mr. Cool in 2008. The car itself, he assured me, was not a lemon and was well taken care of by previous owners although he could not supply me with any previous maintenance records. I bought the car, and have since had to replace the radiator, both catalytic converters, the battery, all exterior belts, the brakes, and the starter. After buying it, the check engine light kept coming on. While it was still under warranty, he worked on it but the light would come back on like clockwork every few days. After the warranty ran out, I took it to a different mechanic who said the check engine light was coming on because of the catalytic converters.... so Mr. Cool probably knew that but was just making quick fixes to avoid having to do any major work on my car while it was still under warrantly. Not only that, but when I bought it, he agreed to change the timing belt since he had no records saying it had ever been done and the car had a little over 100K on it. Now my car is in the shop AGAIN....and guess what....it's the fucking timing belt. A timing belt should never have to be replaced just 3 years after being done with only 30K put on it since. However, when he did the timing belt....that's all he changed. He didnt' change the water pump or the secondary belt. The mechanic I have it at now told me the secondary belt disintegrated and has ruined my crankshaft sensor. So now, my timing belt is getting done the right way. His word and his work is CRAP. NEVER TRUST THIS MECHANIC.
